Learn more about the $750,000 Rethink Adult Ed Challenge and how it’s advancing pre-apprenticeships at the October 15 virtual information session. Scott Stump, Assistant Secretary for Career, Technical, and Adult Education at the U.S. Department of Education, will discuss the role pre-apprenticeships play in breaking down access barriers to apprenticeships and other industry roles. Following an overview of the $750,000 national challenge, attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions.
The session will culminate with a live Q&A, and attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org. A video recording and summary of questions and answers will be published following the session.
A national challenge to better prepare adult learners for rewarding careers
Apprenticeships expand career opportunities, but many adult learners face barriers to accessing them. Pre-apprenticeships break down these barriers by helping adults enter, prepare for, and succeed in apprenticeships. The Rethink Adult Ed Challenge is helping providers funded by the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA) create innovative and high-quality pre-apprenticeship programs — in any industry, anywhere in the United States.
